Markus studied Sports management with focus on sports ecology, he particularly did research on the impact of outdoor sports on nature and environmentally friendly concepts. Being outdoors and especially hiking is his passion.

“Our environment gives us so much energy, we need to maintain the ecosystem ‘Earth’ to ensure the nature’s richness and our quality of life!” That’s what Markus fights for and shares awareness about in his social environment, not only as Young Ambassador for the GameOn project but also as a ‘Going Green Ambassador’ in his current job at StepStone.

Last year, Markus took a week off to participate in the Wilderness Camp at Šumava National Park (Czech Republic). He further organised a waste collection day in his office and got approval by his CEO to order 4.300 eco-friendly produced refillable bottles for the whole company to avoid plastic bottles. Recently, he spent three months in Scotland to discover and learn more about the ecosystem ‘Highlands’ and its effect on the climate. His motto: Everyone can contribute everywhere to a better future!
