Who are we?
CEEweb for Biodiversity is a network of 33 non-governmental organizations which has been committed for the past 25 years to the conservation of biodiversity in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region. CEEweb works on transboundary projects, capacity-building activities, and advocacy and lobbying campaigns.
Our work
CEEweb for Biodiversity tackles both the environmental policy-making arena — with a current focus on the areas corresponding to Climate Change Resilience, the Natura 2000 network, the Water Framework Directive, and the EU Common Agricultural Policy — as well as project implementation in the CEE region. We are currently the Lead Partner in the Game on! project, and we are also implementing the ConnectGREEN project on eco-corridors for the Carpathian region and the AGROMIX project (a participatory research to drive the transition to a resilient and efficient land use in Europe).
Game On!
CEEweb is the Lead Partner in the Game on! consortium. As such, it will be coordinating throughout the lifetime of the project the implementation of all activities, as well as making the first pilot steps in Hungary for some of them.
Thus, CEEweb will organise the first set of Museum Exhibitions with an overlayer of the climate change theme; will step in and work side-by-side with theater companies to imprint climate change messages in improvisation acts; will develop and deliver an e-learning platform to gather the most critical information on climate change in the project's three core areas (i.e. biodiversity conservation, adaptation and mitigation, and climate justice); and will organise lobbying meetings in Brussels to tackle decision-makers alongside the project's Youth Ambassadors.
