The living world is a unique and spectacular place. Millions of kinds of plant and animal species with billions of individuals. This is biodiversity: the richness of life on Earth in all its forms, including the myriad of ecosystems that support it. The lives of species on Earth interlock in such a way that they sustain each other. And we, too, depend on this fine-tuned life support system.
Yet, the way we humans currently live on Earth is sending biodiversity into decline. Nature is fading before our eyes — and it is not just individual species that are being lost: we are losing critical parts of Earth's life support system.
What we have destroyed we must restore once again. It is possible: for nature has a unique capacity to bounce back to life. If we all act now, we can yet put it right.
Opportunities: We can show you how to protect it and increase it. The importance of the topic must be highlighted.
Call for action: Slow down, observe and make protective steps. Respect nature and its natural processes.
