We are looking for young people who will investigate and speak about their views on the inter-linkages between climate change, ecosystem services and life on Earth as a whole. All young people between 18 and 35 will have an opportunity to join our new project „Game On | Don’t let climate change end the game!”.
In Bulgaria, the project was launched exactly on World‘s Earth Day, 22 April, with a video teaser, announcements in social media and press releases. This year, the theme of World’s Earth Day was climate action. An enormous challenge — but also opportunity to act against it have distinguished the climate change as the most pressing topic for its 50th anniversary.
“This is why we are looking for future scientists, entrepreneurs, activists and artists that will help us to research and communicate the topic. To inform and engage Bulgarian society, to prepare it for action and to ask together for more sustainable business models and policies. We must take care together for our future generations and our nature!”, says Yordanka Slavova, project manager from BBF.
In Bulgaria, BBF is the organization that will coordinate all activities in “Game On!”. With this project BBF continues its mission to actively raise awareness about the most urgent problems and potential solutions with the participation of all stakeholders. The aim of the project is to support mitigation and adaptation measures that need to be taken in all fields of life and science. We should develop and adapt our architecture and urban planning, our forest and agriculture practices, technologies and economy as a whole. Working together with all young ambassadors, the project will focus on all levels of responsibility to limit climate change: individual behavior, collective actions and political decisions to support our world to continue to be habitable.
The “Game On!” project is based on the experience of 10 partners form 8 European counties working in the fields of biodiversity research, nature protection, communication and awareness raising campaigns, advocacy and empowerment of communities to insist for sustainable policies and regional development. The project will make us more and will support the most affected by climate change countries in South America.
If you want to become a young ambassador on climate change in your country, contact us to help you meet our partners from Romania, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Germany and Slovakia or follow the international “Game on!” Facebook page and “Game on!” landing website.
The project is implemented with the financial support of DEAR (Development Education Awareness Raising) Program of the European commission in the period 1.11.2019 – 30.10.2023.
