Slovak YAs join a discussion on Green Europe with Frans Timmermans
The goal of the discussion was to voice the opinion on young people on the future of Europe and the policies under the Fit for 55 package. Together with the prime minister of Slovakia Eduard Heger the participants discussed the herculean task of achieving climate neutrality, the success or failure of which will mostly effect the lives of the young generation.
The debaters agreed that the green transformation will also require sacrifices from the population and that the success of tackling climate change will depend above all on public support and acceptance of green policies. Therefore, politicians must ensure that people see the positive effect of green policies directly in their lives as soon as possible.
